CBD short for cannabidiol, is one of many compounds produced by the cannabis plant.  CBD was discovered in the 1940s and since, has been studied for its medicinal value. CBD can be extracted from a hemp plant. Hemp plants are cannabis plants that contain less than 0.3 percent THC.

How does CBD work?  

The Endocannabinoid system lies within the human body and plays an important role in the regulation of homeostasis. It affects our mood, appetite, sleep memory, inflammation and pain. CBD works by interacting with this system and its receptors promoting the body’s balance.
